Spots to Check Out
Endgames Improv: Endgames is a theater and training center. They offer classes for “beginners and experienced improvisers to develop skills for group mind and honing skills on actively listening and responding and organically building characters.” Although they’re currently on hiatus due to COVID, online classes are now available. Take a risk, share a laugh!
Manny’s: Manny’s is farm-to-table café up front, community event space in back. Its events feature fantastic speakers on all things urban, including politics, the future of SF, art, and public transportation. This “hybrid” venue is also home to a political bookshop.
Therapy: Feeling blue? Perhaps all you need is a little retail “Therapy.” This quirky shop has everything you could ever want or need – gifts, décor, books, and clothing. Not sure what to grab? Check out their “Collections” section for guidance on upcoming holidays and even a zodiac gift guide!
Cary Lane: Named “San Francisco’s only designer sample outlet boutique for women and men,” Cary Lane showcases boutique designer clothes at accessible prices. With four locations throughout San Francisco, what’s not to love?
La Taqueria: Best taqueria in the Mission? We think so, and we’re not alone – La Taqueria was voted the high honor by XXX. In addition, the charming Mexican eatery was named “Best Burritio” by FiveThirtyEight, which resulted in long queues down the block. Get in while the getting’s good!
